Question: The Diesel fuel powered motor cycles are expensive, any hope of prices coming down?

Answer #1:
The problem here is the supply. Motorcycles and cars are priced where they are because of market pressure, and none of the largest manufacturers have switched to diesel yet. This seems unlikely to ever happen, given how diesel engines perform. In order to go any reasonable speed, a motorcycle needs to create horsepower. Diesel engines create a ton of torque at low RPM (which leads to fantastic acceleration), but their RPMs remain low (which means low HP and terrible top speed). Even if you were able to swap a diesel engine into a gas-powered bike, the close gear ratios would be an issue.
There are other issues with diesel, such as putting a large-displacement long-throw engine on a cruiser.
There really isn't much of a place for diesel engines on anything but the smallest bikes, and it seems likely to remain a niche market.
Answer #2:
Only if they are sold in much larger volume than at present. Though do understand that they will always be more expensive than a comparable gasoline machine because of the additional costs of producing diesel engines.Answer #3:
Only if they go into mass production, with short runs and one-offs the price of components will not go down. The compression required for diesels is a factor in their lack of use in bikes, the strength required dictates heavy engines.Answer #4:
I'm baffled as to why someone has not stuffed a Smart car motor in a shaft drive bike....Answer #5:
Jay raises an interesting question. But in fact someone has done just that, and you can buy one ... if you live in Holland.Click Here

But as to the OP's question: prices will not be coming down anytime soon. For economies of scale to come into effect, you first need to sell lots of units. So if you buy an EVA Track now, you are helping bring down the price of the next generation!
