Question: can you wear a motorcross helmet on a normal motorcycle?
( Back )
Answer #1:
Motorcross helmets are not dot approved and are not legal is states that require helmets to be worn.Hope I have been helpful.
Answer #2:
yes you can, there is not much difference.none are "enough" protection but they are both of roughly equal protection and strength
the main difference is with dirt bikes you normally use goggles and with road bike helmets you can use flip up visors.
both are fine, as long as you are wearing a DOT approved helmet, that is the main thing.
The answer above has a good point but there are many DOT approved dirt bike helmets, not all of them are though, check.
Answer #3:
Yes. It would be better protection than the average street motorcycle helmet.I have 4 half helmets only two are DOT the others are wonderfully light.
I have three 3/4 helmets and just one full face...cause of the weight I dont like full face.
The full face like the motocross helmet is the only one that can save chin and teeth if the
fall is dramatic.
Answer #4:
if it has a dot stinker on the back its the same as a rode bike helamet. as far as protection i dont believe in helamets so don't ask me. however it wouldn't be illegal either. you could wear a lime green snake skin mini skirt and and brite orange turtle neck. it would look fashionably dum but not against the lawsAnswer #5:
UK you need one with a BSI kite mark on** Powered by Yahoo Answers
