Typical Price of a Maintenance Checks on Motorbike in a Garage?

I've recently bought a motorbike (Honda CBR 125cc) and I've got a good price for it.
I know there are a few factors that require seeing too, however I have just carefully looked through the paperwork I got, and I found that it failed its MOT on almost every occasion (but then passed).

I am new to owning a vehicle and I want to make sure that my bike is in good condition, so I'm not gonna break down.

So I think I'll go to a local garage to see if they can do a maintenance check and tell me what I need to replace on it and so on.

Is this fair among the kids?

I read a similar question on this board and made me think of my own situation.

Hubbys son is 18, just graduated high school and works full time. He visits us about every weekend. We are paying his car insurance, he is making the loan payment on the loan that we got for him. Now my hubby tells me we need to help his son repair his motorbike and buy his hunting license and shells for his riffle for deer season. My son is 22, just graduated from college and is working full time. He visits us about the same about my step-son. My son pays for his own car insurance and buys his own hunting stuff and repairs. How is this fair? Neither one of them live with us. I wasn't giving out to my son when he was 18. He had to pay for half of his insurance and I helped with the other half until he wrecked and caused the insurance to go sky high. His son wrecked and never has paid a dime towards insurance. We are still paying for it.

Is there a Uk website or dealership where I could buy a motorcycle/ped but pay it off monthly?

I'm after a cheap motorbike but can't afford to buy a decent one on my salary but could pay for one monthly. ((I'm a full time student so hence the bad paycheck.)) Anywho I want to get one monthly as the buses are naft and arn't regular enough. I'm also 18 if that helps Any help appreciated!

Hello,everyone,I want to take DMV motorcycle skill test for a M1 license,they require the motorcycle
with insurance ,my motorcycle is new and with no insurance,then when I ask the insurance company,they sort of say that buy the insurance require motorcycle driver's license.So here is the option,
1,rent to motorbike for DMV test.2,take the motorcycle driving school course,the course completion
waiver the DMV skill test.

So,can anyone suggest me a better option,since they all cost money,couple hundreds.

manual and automatic motorbikes?

I recently passed my CBT test on a manual bike, it was my first time on the road and I was completely unprepared for how scary it was! (it was mainly the gears and the clutch, i stalled a lot.)

Because of this i have decided to get an automatic bike for a while to learn more road sense, the problem is that i have no idea how an automatic works! I rang the company I did the CBT did and they told me automatics were so simple to use i didnt need any help!

Now im looking to buy a second hand scooter from a private seller, and im really worried about road testing the vechcle... How do i get insured for one day? how do i control an automatic bike?

im looking into buying a new motorbike i just dont understand the difference between the letters at the end of the name eg "CFR 450X , CRF 450R etc.

okay i met this guy 2 weeks ago and then he added me on facebook, and after 6 days i texted him cause he hadnt had my number and we started to text each other..

anyways it was our date today we went for a coffee we only bought a drink and he payed i said no thats okay and he said that my treat .. i wish i never said that ..

I want to buy a motorcycle and get my motorcycle license just as a car alternative. there are a few worries that are preventing me however:

helmets: would I need to carry my helmet with me around everywhere I go? (do I need to
wear motorcycle gear every time I go out and everywhere I go??)

parking: would I need to chain it down in special bike parking?

terrain limitations: I live on a fairly sloped hill, and i see mopeds on it all the time. would a motorbike have no problem?
