Question #1:

Where can i find the cheapest motorcylce insurance?

I am a 17 year old girl and i am looking for a motorcycle to drive around town on ( mostly too and from school) I want a Kawasaki ninja 250 and i have an idea of what that is going to cost but i don't want to get one if the insurance is going to be sky high. I understand that because im a teenager and its a sports bike that it is going to be expensive no matter what but does anyone know the cheapest?

Question #2:

Why does my 2005 Kawasaki Ninja 636 not stay running until it over 140 degrees?

Before I had my hoses tightened (radiator hoses were loose) by Macuso Harley when the bike hit 108 degrees I would get on and ride off. But since I got it back if you try riding it under 140 degrees when you clutch, the engine dies. Im trying to figure out why this is happening. Now this is from a cold engine, when u first turn it on. Once youve been riding and it up to over 140 its fine. But when u try to shift under 140 degrees the engine shuts off. Im thinking its just taking longer to warm up, but could that be due to tightened radiator hoses?
its not a regular harley dealership, its a mancuso powersport. They sell harley, kawasakis, victory, jet skis, etc. So the tech are good

Question #3:

How wide is the 2008 to 2010 Kawasaki Ninja 250?

I know this sounds like a stupid question and I don't care, but does anyone know approximately (or just ballpark it) how wide this bike is, especially around the seat area? There isn't a local Kawasaki dealer around where I live for me to jump on the bike and see for myself. I know the wideness of the seat affects how close to the ground my feet will be. Thanks.

Question #4:

What license do I need exactly?

To drive a Kawasaki Ninja.
I've looked at specialty licenses here in Illinois but I've only found moped and motorcycle licenses.
This is a speed bike, as I call it. I'm not sure exactly what it's called.

To be more specific it's a Kawasaki Ninja 250R Sport, 2010.

Question #5:

Good beginner motorcycle?

Okay so I finally got my dad to let me buy a motorcycle once I graduate from high school and enroll in the local community college. (it will be my first motorcycle) I'm only really interested in sport bikes and have always liked the way the 2008+ Kawasaki Ninja 250r looks. I have been doing a lot of research this last week online and at dealerships and have realized that I might want something more than a 250cc. A lot of people on online forums say that a 600cc is a great starter bike, but others say a motorcycle such as a GSX-R600 is too much bike for a beginner. After reading more I have realized that a 600cc that isn't in the "super bike" class is a good starter. So now i'm really thinking about a used ninja 650r, preferably the newer body style. I sat on a ninja 650r and a 250r; they both were a great fit for me. I'm about 5'8" and 145 pounds. I'm also going to take the MSF safety course before I get the bike. I'm only buying a bike for recreational purposes because I already have a car for daily driving. I want something that I won't grow out of really quick, has some power, and will help me learn how to ride correctly. I know there's already a lot of questions like this on answers but I wanted to ask one for my specific situation. I would really appreciate it if some experienced riders could help guide me in the right direction, thanks.

Question #6:

Kawasaki Ninja 250r on interstate?

Ok so i plan on getting a new Kawasaki Ninja 250r as my primary vehicle. I dont really ride on the interstate much and dont have to, but when i do, would this bike be a problem, since it is so light weight? What about the 500r?Plz no comments telling me i should get a car and a motorcycle.
Ha i just don't wont to be blown out of control. And wat do u mean truck ruts?
i would much rather get the 250 if i could ride it on the interstate without a prob, as i do plan on traveling, speed isnt a issue for me.

Question #12:

Motorcycle leaking gas?? *With Pictures*?

Ok, I added pictures this time. I got some great answers, but my problem is I don't know all the technical terms yall were telling me about. Like a petcock and stuff. (I'm sure I will learn eventually). My 1998 Kawasaki Vulcan classic 800cc is leaking gas out of the bottom of my bike. I'm an inexperienced rider, so I have no idea why this is happening. The tube the gas is coming out of is rubbery and black. I know that isn't much help, but I'm hoping somebody else has experienced this and will let me know what to do. Thank you!...Also, I have a service and repair manual, but I cannot find my problem in the book. *The leak is not a steady stream, it's more like a dribble.*

This first photo is where the end of the tube is where the gas is dribbling out. (If you notice how much gas is in the bowl it gives you a good idea of how much gas leaked out. However, more gas leaked out before I could add the bowl. I added the bowl after about 5 mintues.

The second photo is me holding the tube trying to figure out where the tube is going. The tube does not go into that big chrome thing.

The third photo is showing the course of the tube, after this I can't really track it too well.

The fourth photo is what I THINK is the other end of the tube, but for some reason that doesn't make sense to me. Anybody have any idea what this is?

Thanks again guys!

On the track or on a straight-away what would be faster with both equally experienced riders?

Question #15:

Why does my title say SB250 when I have a Kawasaki ninja 250r?

I just got a motorcycle and when getting my insurance you have to tell them the model year and number... I have an 08 ninja 250r also known as an ex250j. But on my title it said model: sb250. So I told the insurance people to use that number.
Does anyone know what the sb250 means or stands for? Because I've never heard the ninja referred to as that...
Thanks!

Question #16:

Kawasaki igniter schematic?

Does anyone have the electrical schematic for the igniter on an '83-'89 Kawasaki ZN1300 Voyager? Not the wiring diagram, but the actual schematic for the electronic igniter.

I got an old kawasaki KH100 from my dad and im trying to find the year for it but i cant seem to find it the sticker under the handle bar says 12 75 so i'm guessing that's december 1975 but the KH 100 model wasn't made until 1976 so...yea

Question #19:

Motorcycle bogging down after a few minutes of riding?

I have a 1975 Kawasaki KZ400D. The bike runs fine for the first minute or so and then it bogs down. After it bogs down it will only go around 40-50 in third and fourth gear. When I have it running I can feel that the exhaust on the left side of the bike is warm and the right side is luke warm or normal; it is not hot. Is this a gasket problem or a carburetor or something else? The petcock is also a replacement that is just a generic switch, could this be the problem? Thanks for any help.

Question #20:

Can I ride a Kawasaki Ninja 250 at 17 in England?

I've heard that because it is 33BHP I can, but it is 250cc and at 17 after passing your CBT, Practical and Theory I can ride it at 17? I am not sure though? I heard the Ninja 250 is a good beginner bike and I would rather get that at 17 instead of some CBR125 and just ride around sounding like a fool. I understand the 250 ain't much 'better' but I don't want to get a limited 600cc since the insurance would be a lot more. I don't want to wait either, I want to get a bike as soon as possible. :)
